Formation: Bookbinding Exhibition
NBSS, 150 North Street, Boston MA 02109

Origamics by Graham Patten

June 5 - July 27, 2019

A special traveling exhibition of fine bindings, curated and produced by the Guild of Book Workers. Work in this juried show explores the theme of formation: of personal narratives and histories, biology, craftsmanship, forming ideas, geographies, and many more interpretations. Featured among the 51 books are a number created by NBSS Bookbinding alumni, faculty members, and colleagues.

After traveling to the Minnesota Center for the Book Arts, the Robert C. Williams Papermaking Museum at Georgia Tech, and Charles E. Young Research Library Lobby Gallery at UCLA, the exhibit will be on view for two months at NBSS before its final stop at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.

Free and open to the public in our Gallery/Store weekdays 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Saturdays 10:00 am-2:00 pm, and by appointment. Closed July 4 & 5.

Exhibit Reception will be held on Thursday, July 18, from 6:00-8:00 pm. RSVP here.
