In the Making: Boston Public QuartetThursday, January 27, 2022 from 7:00-8:00 pm EST
Free, virtual event
Boston Public Quartet is a local ensemble dedicated to presenting historically excluded composers alongside the traditional canon of classical chamber music in all of Boston's neighborhoods. Last winter, members of the Quartet lifted us with a much needed musical respite, live from First Parish Church in Dorchester, MA.
This year, we'll bring them to the Windgate Gallery at NBSS, where Quartet members Joy Cline Phinney (on piano) and Betsy Hinkle (on violin) will perform works by Amy Beach, HT Burleigh, Florence Price, Clara Schumann, and William Grant Still.
