After college, I spent some time working for the US Department of Energy promoting alternative fuel vehicles and then for a private company selling electric cars.

As a lifelong tinkerer and all around do-it-yourselfer, I felt I needed to better align my professional aspirations with my passion to build and create. I love the outdoors and exploring New England with my friends and family. Growing up in New Jersey, I still feel there is so much to explore.

I looked for a school where artisans thrive and want to pass along knowledge and wisdom of their craft. From the Alumni that continue to support and engage with NBSS to the students who sometimes stay hours at the end of each school day, it's obvious that this isn't your typical school experience. I wanted to be be a part of that unique learning experience which is why I decided to enroll in the Preservation Carpentry program.
