Financial support for scholarships is one of the most direct and tangible ways that donors make a difference. Two scholarship funds are supported through individual, corporate and foundation support.
Education is an expensive investment. Because North Bennet Street School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, students are eligible for federal and state financial aid including Pell Grants and subsidized loans. To help meet the gap between financial aid and tuition and to ensure that everyone has equal access to the unique education at North Bennet Street School, the school is committed to building and maintaining robust scholarship funds.
Through the generous support of donors, more than $125,000 in scholarship grants have been awarded to students enrolled in the 2010 – 2011 school year.
thank you alumni...fenoglio challenge goal reached!
Earlier this year, the William R. Fenoglio Foundation challenged North Bennet Street School alumni with a generous grant of $10,000 to be used to build the President's Scholarship Fund by matching alumni gifts dollar for dollar.
Through the generosity of alumni, the Fenoglio Challenge goal was met before the close of the fiscal year. The $10,000 was raised through donations from more than 50 alumni, some who made their first gift to the school and others who made an additional gift above their annual amount. “As a proud North Bennet Street School alumnae, participating in the Fenoglio Challenge was a way to both give a gift in appreciation for all that I was taught at NBSS and double it through the generosity of the Fenoglio Foundation,” says McKey Berkman BB '11. “That's what alumni giving is all about - joining your colleagues in supporting a place that gave you excellent training, surrounded you with creative collaborators, launched your career and changed your life. Now that is something to celebrate with a gift!”

Scholarship assistance for today and for the future
- Walter McDonald
The Walter McDonald Scholarship Fund was established in June 2007.
