Visiting the school

North Bennet Street School is located in downtown Boston on the edge of the Rose Kennedy Greenway in the North End.

Visiting North Bennet Street School

Everyone is welcome to stop by the School lobby to pick up information about the School and visit the Store/Gallery. The program and education spaces are not open to the public. Individuals considering applying to one of the eight full-time programs are encouraged to come to an information session and contact the Admissions Office with questions or to make other arrangements to see the School if needed.

The general public is welcome at our annual Open House, Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19, 2016, 10am to 2pm.

The location, linked to Google Maps, is below followed by information for parking, accommodations and more maps.

North Bennet Street School, 150 North Street, Boston, MA 02109 (links to Google Maps).

Note: When using Google Maps and Mapquest (and some GPS systems) for directions to NBSS, both provide more accurate driving and walking directions if you use the School name - "North Bennet Street School" - than our street address - "150 North Street, Boston, MA 02109." The above link uses the School name to locate us on Google Maps.

Within the North End, the streets are narrow and parking is difficult. The good news is that the neighborhood is very walkable, there are countless restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques to visit and people are friendly. We recommend taking public transportation or parking in the Parcel 7 parking garage and walking to the School.

The closest MBTA stop is Haymarket on the Orange and Green Lines.

If your visit includes an overnight stay, you are welcome to consult a list of local accommodations although we encourage you to look for special deals online as many downtown Boston hotels offer deals through online travel sites.

There is validated parking for visitors to North Bennet Street School at the Parcel 7 parking garage located at 136 Blackstone Street on the corner of New Sudbury and Congress Streets. The entrance is on New Sudbury, next to the Orange Line MBTA Subway entrance. The phone number for the parking garage is 617-973-6954. Validated parking tickets are good for $1 for up to 2 hours of parking, and $3 for up to 3 hours of parking. If you park for longer than 3 hours, the cost is $13 an hour with no validation discount. Validation occurs at the NBSS front desk. Note: Parcel 7 parking garage is officially located at 136 Blackstone Street on the corner of New Sudbury and Congress Streets, but Google Maps (not Mapquest) and most GPS systems prefer 95 New Sudbury Street as the garage address.
